What is driving the new wave of innovation in climate technology? How should companies protect themselves against ransomware? What do changing work patterns mean for transportation systems and city centers?

Experts and innovators from a variety of industries will join us at the GeekWire Summit next week in Seattle to help answer some of these important questions as we prepare for a future in a rapidly changing world.

Tickets available here for next week’s reimagined Summit, taking place October 4-5 with a limited in-person experience and a live stream accessible with a virtual pass.

This year’s lineup is one of the best in our history, and we are thrilled to bring back GeekWire events in a safe way to showcase journalism live from the stage. Head here to purchase your virtual or VIP tickets in person.

If you can’t do this amazing lineup in person, we are excited to offer free scholarship tickets to those who want to tune in to the Summit virtually. Nonprofits, students, startups, military, and others who feel eligible for scholarship tickets, provided through a partnership with our summit presentation sponsor, Bank of America, can email us at events @ geekwire.com to get passes.

The full Summit agenda is posted on the event site in the schedule tab. Here’s a quick preview of what to expect from our speakers and sessions:

Climate change

The world faces a monumental task: removing carbon dioxide and greenhouse gas emissions from all facets of our lives, from power plants to ships, airplanes and cars, from food production to steel and concrete that are essential for construction. We have to do it, and as quickly as possible, or face the dire climatic consequences. The good news is that the climate tech sector is charging ahead, backed by billions of dollars in venture capital investments and a burgeoning market.
