Electronics and Information Technology Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw launched the “MeitY Startup Accelerators for Innovation, Development and GrowtH (SAMRIDH)” program on Wednesday to create an enabling platform for the stars of Indian software products help them scale their business.
The SAMRIDH program will focus on accelerating the 300 startups by providing customer connection, investor connection and international immersion over the next three years. In addition, an investment of up to ₹ 40 lakh will be provided to the start-up based on the current stage of valuation and growth of the start-up through selected accelerators. It will also make it easier for the accelerator / investor to match the investment. The program aims to promote the growth of the Indian startup, which has seen the emergence of 63 unicorns with a total valuation of $ 168 billion.
