OLÉ will be the first in-person event for startups after Covid

Entrepreneurs have an appointment from September 6 to 10 in Salamanca. On that date, the 7th edition of Startup OLÉ will be held, an event for Deep tech startups in Europe. It will also be the first to bring together startups in person after Covid-19.

One of the main objectives of this event is to bring together the international entrepreneurial ecosystem and do it in person. It is expected, in turn, to exceed the figures of previous years. In 2019, for example, more than 20,000 people from 120 countries were brought together. Among them were 850 startups and 660 speakers. The attendees also had an investment portfolio of more than 50,000 million euros.

One of the novelties of this edition is that the participants will have a networking platform, which will help them identify investors or other startups with whom they are interested in participating. In addition, they may request meetings with other participants.

Similarly, a section with digital stands for sponsors and startups has been included. The organizers will also make available to investment funds and corporations a tool that can be used to analyze and filter startups. This will allow them to identify and close meetings with the startups that best meet their needs and demands.

Online and face-to-face program

Although this year’s event will be face-to-face, Startup OLÉ 2021 has also organized an online program. This includes matchmaking activities, a fair with virtual stands, round tables or a pitch competition, among others.

However, if the sanitary conditions are favorable, it will also bet on a face-to-face program in which there will be sessions such as the Investor / Open Innovation Forum, Accelerator Assembly, Public and Media Administrations, University Pavilion or REInA. All of them are focused on providing solutions and answers to the concerns of the business, technological and social world.

For its part, international round tables have been organized with experts from venture capital associations such as AMEXCAP – Mexican Association of Private Capital-, ARCAP -Asociación Argentina de Capital Privado-, ASCRI – Spanish Association of Capital, Growth and Investment-, ACVC -Chilean Venture Capital Association-, ColCapital -Colombian Association of Investment Funds- and ABVCAP -Brazilian Association of Private Capital and Venture Capital. Startups will also participate in these round tables.
