Zaiser Motors, an American startup, recently announced on its official website that it had developed a retro-style electric motorcycle capable of competing in several respects with similar gasoline-powered vehicles.
Each wheel of the motorcycle has its own electric motor, which allows rapid acceleration (from zero to 100 kilometers in 3.6 seconds) and reaches a speed of 193 kilometers per hour. With a 17.3 KWH battery, it can cover a distance of 300 miles on a single charge. And a key innovation in that field is the interchangeability of battery units.
“Our unique dual hub electric cycle sets itself apart from other electric motorcycles available today […] Safety is dramatically improved thanks to electric stabilization and assist systems, while traction control will provide an experience like no other machine of its kind, “said Zaiser Motors in a presentation aimed at raising money to bring their project to series production level.
The company considers as a central element in the culture of motorcycling the possibility that everyone can remodel, improve and repair a motorcycle by themselves, so it plans to “adopt the philosophy of the ‘right to repair’ in its service infrastructure.” By assisting customers with basic service and repairs, Zaiser Motors aims to “keep the spirit of motorcycling intact in the electric age.”
The model is expected to appear on the market later this year or early 2022. In the initial sales period, it would be priced between $ 20,000 and $ 25,000. However, the developers hope to lower it by 30% by 2028.
