Delivery is one of the services that has taken on special relevance during pamdenmia, driven by the increase in e-commerce. In this context, Rutam was born, a startup whose letter of introduction is the speed of its delivery: they promise to leave orders in less than 2 hours.
According to its founder, José Miguel Villavicencio, the App was born as a service for SMEs that saw their online sales significantly increase as a result of the pandemic, and the bet was, because only in April, dispatches grew 4 times in relation to a normal month .
“We realized that there was a big problem with the deliveries and we wanted to solve it with technology. With Rutam we offer the parcel and parcel delivery service in general with a maximum weight of. 20 kilos and 40×40 cm socks. In addition to having a delivery in less than 2 hours, we differ from other similar applications because our values are much more convenient, ”says Villavicencio.
Currently the service is available throughout the Metropolitan Region and they hope to be projected throughout the country soon. Rutam also added the GPS function for cars (to avoid theft and lock-ups) and the option of express freight.
This last service works with a modality in which people can request a larger vehicle, such as a truck or van, to move furniture or a larger product, also with a driver that will do it in less than 2 hours.
“It is clear that we differentiate ourselves from the competition because we are a much cheaper App, but we also make a difference because we are a multi-channel app. We offer shipments, freight, tracking tracker, security of fleets and private vehicles ”, indicates its founder.
It should be noted that according to the Euromonitor International consultancy, in 2017 in Chile about $ 383 million was consumed in delivery issues, and it is estimated that consumption in 2022 will be equivalent to $ 516 million.
